Moscow court gives Facebook no delay to pay 17 mln rbl fines

MOSCOW, Oct 26 (PRIME) -- The Tagansky District Court of Moscow has rejected Facebook’s request for a delay of payment of 17 million ruble fines imposed for non-deletion of illegal information, a court spokesperson told PRIME late on Monday.

The court earlier ordered bailiffs to execute the ruling on claiming 17 million rubles of administrative fines from Facebook, and the social network asked for more time due to technical problems in money transfer.

Since the beginning of 2021, Facebook has been fined more than 80 million rubles for the refusal to delete information about unsanctioned campaigns and keeping data of its Russian users in the country.
